Day 1 : Arrive Kiruna - Jukkasjärvi ICEHOTEL

Arrive today at Kiruna Airport, where you’ll be transferred directly to the ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi. Check in for your two-night stay at the hotel upon your arrival, and then enjoy some free time to roam the hotel. You can take pictures of the beautiful sculptures and creations designed by handpicked international artists, or take the 45-minute optional tour—which gives you insight into the artists’ concepts for the suites as well as the building process. We can make optional reservations for you to enjoy dinner tonight in the ICEHOTEL restaurant (please request upon booking). The restaurant serves up local, must-try delicacies such as moose and reindeer served on exclusive plates made from pure, crystal-clear Torne River ice.

Tonight you’ll spend the night in the ICEHOTEL’s Ice Room, with ice décor and a bedframe made of ice. Arm yourself with woolly socks, reindeer skins, and expedition sleeping bags (all included), and you’ll sleep in comfortable warmth through the night!

Day 2 : Jukkasjärvi ICEHOTEL - Ice Sculpting - Reindeer Camp and Sámi Cultural Experience - Northern Lights Snowmobile Excursion

n the morning, you’ll be woken up in bed with hot lingonberry juice and a trip to the sauna for the ultimate relaxing experience. After breakfast, you’ll experience an incredible day of adventure!

Ice Sculpting Class
An activity that typically takes guests by surprise in its creativity—and is often one of the most appreciated, due to the fantastic settings—the ice sculpting class at ICEHOTEL is a fascinating introduction to the process that births the famous accommodations you stayed in on Day 01. The class will be held in the morning for 2-3 hours, and begins with your instructor giving you a short introduction to the tools used to work on the ice. Shortly thereafter, you’ll be introduced to your very own block of crystalline River Torne ice. Enjoy lunch on your own, served in the ICEHOTEL restaurant starting at 11:30 AM, before you move on to the excursions below.

Reindeer Camp and Sámi Cultural Experience
Join a Sámi guide as they lead you to a local reindeer camp! Spend 3 hours (2-5 PM) on this Sámi cultural experience: try a reindeer sled ride around a short track and hand-feed curious reindeer calves, and then enjoy a hot coffee and suovas—the Sámi national dish—in front of a roaring fire inside the traditional Sámi tent. All transfers are included. Upon returning to the ICEHOTEL, check into the ICEHOTEL’s warm accommodations—known as the Kaamos Rooms—and rest up a little before the day’s final adventure.
